Default Pressure washed boat today..getting ready

Its the time of year I usually start fishing after sitting a few times in the woods and putting some meat in jars and freezer..Today I Pulled the skiff out of the boat shed and gave it a good cleaning. Going to check engine oil, fuel filters, etc later today.. Then Going to go thru all my fishing poles. Not sure when I am fishing but I will be ready if I get the time to go.. maybe tomorrow morning??

This will be the first trip in 7 months...Just looked at my cell camera picture gallery..I have not fished since May. In my younger days I fished a lot.. This year I caught a good amount of large brim in April and May I did not need to fish in the summer heat to stock freezer with good quality brim fillets. I barely Speck fished at all last year, I am hoping to go at least 10 times this year.. I think I know where I can find some staging near the pads?? If I don't find the crappie I will have a nice boat ride. This afternoon I went over the boat engine, replaced fuel connections and some fuel hose.. The old 1998 Honda 90hp cranked and idled nicely. I put new aerator on my minnow cooler. I just might get out tomorrow.

Caught one more keeper after I took the picture. Started out drifting out towards middle of lake with no bites. Went to pads and caught 6 keepers
, Got broke off 4 or 5 times in the pads. I looked over my fishing poles yesterday.. but this morning when I tried to put them together...I found that dirt dobbers had done their thing and I had to clean out nests to get rods together.. never had that happen before.

Looks good. Try sliding some cayenne into that beer batter, one of my favorites. Good looking meal there.
