    Default Lake Talquin advice needed

Hey folks I was a member of this site back in 1999 and up into the early 2000's. Forgot my old username so I created a new one. Im looking for general advice on crappie fishing Talquin in the winter. I used to fish that lake often 20 years ago but have gotten rusty. Also I dont spider rig as I cant handle a lot of poles, 3 at the most LOL. Thanks in advance for any advice yall give me.

Well seeing you didn't get any response, I thought Id weight in. I've only fished Talquin 3 times in the past 6 or so years, all times in Jan or Feb. It looks like 2/3rds of the guys longline big jigs 1/8"+ I did well that way and spider rigging. I may be down there right after Xmas if I can talk the wife into it. We will be on Okeechobee and St.Johns in early to mid Jan. sure love speck fishing in Fl in the winter.

Several years ago their was one guy that took it upon himself to constantly criticize several of us on this forum. We all fished Talquin on a regular basis and shared information with others. Yes we picked on each other (in good nature) but for some reason this individual had no sense of humor. Even with as far as sending us PM's taking issues with our post. So, many of us made a pact that we were done posting information on our great lake. If you come to fish it, you will find that we will be more than happy to give you tips on how to fish the lake. Send me a PM, be glad to help.
