Default Truman Lake guy needs advice

Wife and I first winter in Florida, staying at Rivers Edeg RV park on St.Johns river. Straight west of Crescent Lake , not sure where to start looking for crappie , FYI I do catch and release, rarely keep fish to eat. Looking for winter crappie ! Please advise

Depends on what time of year it is. Between now and December I'd say Newman's, Orange lake, Lochloosa, Rodman, and Monroe are gonna be your big producing lakes that are somewhat close. U can shoot docks on Crescent and get em around that timeframe too. January- February seems to be peak of season for Crescent before they spawn. Rodman and Crescent are ur best chance for catchin biggins

    How bad is Rodman?
I hear it has lots of stumps and trees, floating and still standing.
I want to fish it, but kinda scared at the same time.
