    Default Crank baits in Florida

Any y’all pull them down here?
The crank fest thread got me thinking about using them down here.
Don’t know if specs respond to them as well as white crappie do.

I fish north Florida regular. I found the black crappie don't respond to the crank baits as good as whites. Catfish love them.

I've used them with limited success. What I tried were smaller cranks, but the treble hooks were smaller too, so I felt I lost too many while reeling them in trolling. I switched to double rigging jigs.

    Thanks guys.
I picked up a few and will try them in some of the deeper spots on the river and see what happens.
    I’ll let y’all know.

Sunshine bass have been known to hit the smaller crankbaits. I have tried them but I seem to always gom up my hooks with some sort of slimy green gunk. Tight Lines.

JJ, yea the sunnies and Shad will smack cranks pretty good.
    Catfish too.
I’m hoping for some success with them but we’ll see.
