Yes. I remember it very vividly. Funny stuff. Now if I can just find those gas jugs under the bucks in the yard

I remember getting $0.50 from the neighbor's daddy so his son & I would walk to the filling station down the road to buy a gallon of gas for his chainsaw. With the $0.02 left over, we bought 4 pieces of Bazooka Joe Bubblegum at the country store on the walk home. Where does time go?...besides rapidly the other direction in the rearview mirror.

In the early 60's I had to drive from Norfolk, Va to southern Ga. Somewhere in one of the Carolinas I encountered a gas war. Gas was 9˘ a gallon. Never seen it again in my life time but I sure won't forget.

Yes. Two years ago. I drove down to Florida in March 2020 for my yearly spring fishing trip and gas was around $1.25/gal. I ate good that year with all the money I saved on gas. This past March, 2022...$4.25/gal. I ate a lot of peanut butter sandwiches that week.
