Default Finally retired & moved to Florida

I made it! Now I actually have time to fish my favorite species! I’m now living in the Lake Whales area and I’m planning a trip to Walk on Water. Never fished in Florida before I see most lakes are shallow compared to Michigan so with water temp @ the low 60’s are they still tight in cover? Pads? Don’t see any what I call structure but weed edges. Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to Florida. Fish weed edges now, wait a week or two till the water temp rises then they'll be in the pads and reeds. You may find them in the pads even sooner. The water temp has been down then up three times this year so they're real confused. At least they seem like it here on the Harris Chain. Best of luck, share pics, and keep on asking questions.

Congratulations on your retirement. Fish on…….and on……and on…….and on. Should be a great Spring to get your feet wet on Florida fisheries. Best of luck.
