    Default Stick with what works....

Had another good outing in the shallow water thumping specks a few days back (table pic) with no monsters, just solid 11"-13" fish on BG baby shad Mo-glow baits. So decided to change things up & long- line troll the St. John's river to see if some bigger fish could be found....well caught a good 20, but most wouldn't make 10 inches if ya stepped on them. Like seeing seed for the future, however. not exactly the plan going out, so as they got released & I felt I gave it the best go, went back to ole reliable in the shallows & recked a mess quick. Was surprised with the rougher water how they bit (pic in weeds & pads hard to make out waves) think the approaching front put them in a frenzy, anyways moral of the story is in the title, tight lines....Name: IMG_20220124_201740525.jpg

I agree with DSJ. if shallow is what works for you stay with it. Great looking haul!

Keep them coming Jeff. We’re catching most of our fish shallow too. One day on wood next day pads. The rain and wind doesn’t help much ether. We’re not catching tons but some nice fish just have to work for them. My friend Phil had a 2pound 6oz. Male the other day the largest male I have ever seen.

You’re doing good Jeff,as usual. I wasn’t dumb enough to go on Saturday but I did go for a while this morning. Those are some good looking fish for the table you came up with. Maybe next weekend for me.
