    Look @ You Skeet, them beetlespins can be a lot of fun, keep playing w/different plastic variations & I think you'll enjoy the results, they always excite me, mostly because I put them on the 4 ft. UL ugly stiks & throw those jokers as far as I can behind the boat...the retrieve becomes as eventful as I'm sure your skinny tackle in the river feels...

    I’m with you on the wind Skeet, however I live in Oklahoma.
    If I waited on little or no wind, I would very seldom get to fish.

    This is certainly a bad time of the year for wind. It seems if it's not windy when you go... it'll get windy when you get there.
