If you attended the slabfest, you heard Chuck talking of his upcoming surgery. A low back, minimally invasive thing that he had done on Monday. It went well at first but his blood thinners changed things. From what I found out earlier today and not to go into all the details, he was leaking too much. Tuesday he was transported to the hospital in altamonte springs where they got busy getting him straightened around and more stable. I spoke with his daughter today and she is, as any good daughter would be, very concerned for her dad. Then a surprise about 5 o’clock, a call from Chuck himself. His spirits are good but he’s tired, understandably after the past few days. And the hospital folks don’t let you sleep, it’s all about information to them. He said that he may go home tomorrow, and I hope he does….if he’s ready! He’ll rest better there and be happier. So please, after reading this, take a minute and offer a prayer for a good man that needs a little help recovering right now. Everyone stood up and offered me help in the past when it was needed and I believe in the power of prayer. Hopefully we’ll here from Chuck as he improves and feels a bit stronger. Thanks for reading and caring about my friend…Skeet.
