Salty surprise guests were
not the hoped for notable invitees from C.com but were almost as enjoyable.The normal list of String-stretchers{Trout, Reds, Ladyfish, Lizardfish, Catfish, Pinfish} were enjoyabel fun but the two Surprises came in the form of PB Striped mullet(3 #'s) and a PB Pufferfish(12"). Both of these fish hit on back to back casts using light Crappie gear w/VUDU artificial mini-shrimp(chartreuse). I've had more than my share of ruined high-dollar VUDU shrimp puffer "bite offs" with larger plastic artificials. The Trophy mullet came 1st with a top-notch/drag screaming multi-runs(fought like there was NO TOMORROW)
and after slipping the net underneath it was EXACTLY that with Smoked or Fried mullet on my menu!
The extra-large puffer came next when he was easily fooled with the tiny 2" VUDU shrimp! I now see the correlation to avoid the bite-offs by downsizing!
Rounding out the trip were 32 Big/beautiful BLUE CRABS male crabs>8"!
