Those crabs look mighty healthy. Only thing missing in the crab pic was a can of Coors Light!!!
you accumulate way too many Candles on your cake, especially when your expectations are met or Exceeded!! Yesterday's SALTY-trip proved, thankfully, to be case-in-point! Low-activity fish forecast, w/t 81* > 85*, High-tide dropping, I chose to stay in river for fish/crabs. After seeing an abundance of loggerheads and manatees throughout my day, I was Real-time updated with a armpit hook-up of an approximate 100# loggerhead on med-light trout gear! Being alone, I played multiple-roles(fisherman, run/gun boat operator, camera-man) in my attempt of a boat-side glam shot of my Turtle-tastic rodeo After about 30 minutes of PURE speed/strength, tackle-testing, boat skills, I was ready for the camera-role(4 times~unsuccessful) @boat-side until finally my 15 lb. flouro-leader decided to surrender! Definitely, easily exceeded my caffeine-rush just an hour earlier! Definitely was a preview of how the day was to unfold! Many species brought to net/measure, with a nice menu in mind for my 'providers-o-fun'! Snook, Reds, Trout, Flounder(2 no keepers) Grunt, Cats(gaff-topsail~aka Crucifix fish/hardhead), Ladyfish, Lizardfish, no Puffers(dag nabbit)! One Keeper Snook(28"), 6 Reds(3 slot>27"(1 kept))2 nice-size Grunt aka Gertrude & Heatcliffe!! Gaff-topsail Catfish(20"= MEAN mamma-jamma/GREAT eatin!!) Oh yeah, almost FORGOT NOT! my BLUE CRABS!! 5 gallon bucket of JUMBO JIMMY's Only caught one keeper-trout(15", missed a nice 19 +-/ still out in Gulf offshore). Here's a few more misc. pics I hope you'll like-
