    Default Slab zilla!!

Scanning my fish pic "library"(Library of Congress{C.com}) I came upon a notable trophy worth "bumping to the TOP"!Name: 20210811_231213.jpg

Size: 64.7 KB Could the notable/blessed angler bring the unaware viewers(members/non) up to speed with details and hopefully a pic of it's NEW(drier) home display?? I know it's 7.5 years ago and may be beating a but I remember Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Seabiscuit etc.

I caught that fish. It's only 2.5 pounds but still huge to me. I've caught other 2.5 pound fish, but this is the prettiest one. Believe it or not, I've fished all across this country and my biggest is only 2.5 lbs, but it's true, and I don't care. 2.5 is plenty big enough for me. My other 2.5 lb fish were caught on Sardis fishing with Orville. This Florida Black Crappie was purdier tho. I may have to find pics of both and share.

Oh, to finish the story with the Crescent Lake fish. It was a crappie.com event and I was fishing with my father-in-law. We were fishing with Slab Rigs and of course Slabsauce (no minners). We forgot the net, and I lipped it immediately the first time it surfaced. Quite a surprise.

Here’s the two and a half pounder off Sardis, MS, I was talking about. Orville framed the picture for me so this is a pic of a pic. Billbob was on the boat with us as well. This was caught on Capps Coleman rig with minnows doused with slabsauce. Yep we sprayed slabsauce on our Minner’s. Billbob can attest to that as it was his idea at that time. Thanks Ted.

This is that one from Crescent. It was only 15 inches long, but fat.

And here's a better pic of the mount. Doug's pic seems a little elongated for some reason.

Is't this kind of post of mine funny. Everyone remembers the day and moment they caught the big one. Everyone has their own stories. Feel free to share...

As far as my S T R E T C H pic...it's far more believable too stretch a pic than a "Truth"! Thanks for bringing back the Golden Oldies...now on to the 2.75 benchmark, Ed! Secretariat>SLABaterrorIT!

I look forward to my first 2.5 pounder.

Is it a mount using the fish or the plastic replica ?
Maybe they will bite this one……

Plastic/styrofoam replica done by a member of this website who wanted to remain anonymous. He wanted to remain anonymous because he really did not want to get into doing this for a business. He did a great job.

    Well then Ed, as I see it...1-2.5# Black / 1-2.5# White > 1-2.5# Blacknose
