as mentioned in an earlier post, took some time off from work, to fish 5 straight days w/visiting brother-n-law. Mainly long-line trolled a minimum of 6 hrs each day & was glad 2 week's prior I decided to wire my 2 deep cycle batteries in parallel & add a 3rd start battery, as we had no issues with any loss of power= 1 heck of a test trial.... anyways 4 different lakes & a section of the St. John's yielded over 250 specks (over 50% of which were thrown back for seed). Caught bass, catfish, gar, mudfish, warmouth, a few monster gills, & a lion's share of target crappie. Kept (18)1st trip, (14) the 2nd, (40) the 3rd, (19) the 4th, & finished Friday w/(45) keepers....plenty to fill the brother-n-law 50# limit for the plane ride home. Had no incidents to damper the party & the weather cooperated for the most part, except the day we pulled 19 from lemon bluff, which was too windy to fish any lakes. BTW they have built a new ramp facility on the river @ lemon bluff, however, completion is on hold for engineering adjustment needed for current flow, we were told, pic below. Also seen a blimp (goodyear) & hugh military plane fly over that day, pretty cool. Haven't fished all day & processed fish like that for some time, but somehow feel OK, for 1 more bite...LOL.... anyways was very blessed to be able to put the brother-n-law on fish, being it's April....1 table pic the gill is below a 15" speck, to show how well it stacked up, & can personal say, this ain't no speck, @ the time it came aboard, hope your lines are tight till next time ....O, a little counter error on the day of 45, was finished by 2pm that day, just an awesome bite
