becoming increasingly agitating, especially when you are more able to pick/choose your time/financial outlay. Yesterday, Sunday, is typically one of two days I prefer to Sumo-circle around. With Tuesday's guest outing in it's final countdown, I wanted to do a last-minute, fresh shakedown. Unfortunately, using the meteorologist's well-paid opinion to confirm, yet again, my unpaid moronologist's sheepskin "sword swallow" gullibilties, I set forth. With only 20% chance of rain forecasted, low N winds, I chose a casual start-up @ 9 am. Encountering drizzle, almost for the entire day, added by white caps from the N, made me vow to lose my "whether" man "stupid pills"! Having rain gear but NOT having my insulated coveralls added to one of the most bone-chilling, Sunny Florida(d/a) trips on record(18 years now). Picked up some throwbacks l/l'g but again the single-stick was the abra-ca-dabra. Although I didn't catch enough for a neighborhood fish-fry, the "stadium" choice(of three) for Tuesday has been designated. Stay tuned...enjoy the pics!

It's been a strange cold beginning of 2021 for sure. But it's better than 2020 in any light! Nice looking fish for sure, thanks for sharing.

i did leave the house about 11 yesterday and arrived at my destination before noon. As i was preparing to launch a man pulled in and came over to talk with me. Old guy like me who had sold his boat a few years back to care for his sick wife.
I launched the boat and he agreed to hold it for me since there is no dock and it was windy, so i could park my truck.
So i didnt actually get started untill about 1 pm. The wether service had the wind direction right but were way off on the velocity, and even the direction was switching later in the day.
I went 2 hours without a fish except for a few good hits doing the same thing i always do with the same bait.
I finally switched rods to one rigged with the same 1/16 pink head but a monkey milk body. Caught 5 fish within the next hour. Switched back to the other rod with the same head but electric chicken body, ended up fishing later than planned but with 14 total, all released.
So that made 39 total released for the last 2 trips on just one rod and 2 different colors.
But they wont take any till their ready to take it.
The wind again gave me fits trying to load the boat alone when it was almost dark with no dock and a poor ramp.
Today looks better, but i need a day to recoup, and recharge the batteries.
