    Default Slow day but...

It was a slow day out on the channel of ol' saint john's river. Current was stronger than usual but did manage to bring home 4 specks. And caught my first Shad fish, jumpy little thing. And the dogs were happy, if I would have came home empty handed they would have changed the locks on me I'm sure Slow day but.... Was usin' the Lews Wally Marshall speed shooter, his Signature series for vertical jiggin', along with BnM Sam Heaton super sensitive jig pole. Slime Line 6lb super stretch(great stretch to keep them from spittin' the hook) to catch them. Not what I wanted but 8 fillets and several bonus pieces was cool with me and the dogs. Can't wait to get back out there and catch'em again. So fun catchin' Specks. Love it!! Tight lines and get out and catch you a fish. God bless you anglers!!Name: 20210315_172708.jpg

Been a interesting yr for Shad run & maybe the 1st yr one hasn't been taken by accident in my boat, your right that you sure know you don't have a speck when a Shad takes your bait..... nice catch & meal....
