I pulled and painted my own cranks in TN and will say that colors vary from one lake to another. Solid black, maybe a hint of pearl on the belly and a spot of pink at the base of the gills. Solid pink also was a standard in my spread. A natural Shad color, dark back and a gray or pearl belly, pink spot of pink at the base of the gills. One that always produced for me also was a bill Norman bait that was chartreuse in the main part of the body with a glitter purple back. Past that, look at the major makers and see what’s common between them.
