After the mandatory Dunkin stop, we headed for the ramp about 8 and found less traffic than yesterday. Dropped in, dropped crumbs from our donuts and dropped off plane to get started. Conditions were similar but the breeze we enjoyed yesterday wasn’t there. So it started slow and the time eased by and a 5 year old doesn’t follow that the fish have to bite before we can catch em too well yet. By about 8:45 the fish started to hit, slow at first but gained momentum for the next two hours. One point we had four fish to the boat within a minute. The size wasn’t as big as yesterday but the numbers held up, just fine for the attention span we were dealing with. The girls doubled up a couple of times and the guppy grabbing the rod and doing it all by herself. Makes a Papa proud! Big one today was about a pound and a quarter and came on a long rod making the fight that much better. Guppies job became the release agent, and she has the fish thumb to prove it. A badge of honor, her first. We all had a good time and had to quit to go decorate at my other daughters house so we wrapped up and put it on the trailer. I should say Jessi put it on the trailer. I’ve been handing over operational duties to her the last few times out, see one , do one training and she’s learning fast. Little by little she’ll be running the show and I’ll be along for the ride. My job today was to net fish and drink coffee and I didn’t need any training for that. A great short trip, everyone learned something and over thirty fish were handled and released. Back at the house for showers and the rest of our family time together. Many Blessings Today, I don’t remember being this good to deserve them but He works in ways we don’t always understand. Hope y’all get out soon, they’re waiting for you, and I hope to see you out there when you do get a chance. Til then, please protect and take care of yourselves........ Skeet
