And hot like July is what sent us home, cuz the fish were still bitin!! Y’all know Alex from previous posts and trips, and we haven’t fished together for a couple of minutes, so it was time. At the ramp Sunday at 7 and we set lines and headed out. Not much ground(water?) covered but we found nice fish. Very few were of dink status, and no Gar, thank you Jesus!! We cruised, we talked, and basically caught up on the months that we haven’t seen each other. I thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Not a breath of wind, as the pictures will attest, and though there were a few other boats, we never got bothered by anyone else. And the fish..........steady for the whole time we were out. A shave over 13 1/2 was our big one and none went in the box that was less than 11 1/2. We slid by Jim and he said he didn’t want any, and fish for the upcoming event were covered, so Alex took the four biggies home and the rest went back for another day. 10 were in the box and would have done anyone’s freezer right but I have enough and we took what we could use. I spoke with Mrs Alex today and he made her some of the almost famous tacos that he does so well. Well received. Clear sunny skies changed the colors from my last overcast trip and acid rain boated the lion’s share. A good trip that had to end too soon, but neither of us do well in still hot conditions. Here’s a few pics Alex took as the trip photographer, and with a little luck, you’ll be in some from the next trip. Y’all stay healthy, and til next time.....Skeet.Name: 16E8E4A6-CF4A-4FFA-A9BE-894A32303BBF.jpg
