    Default Summer Trolling?

I usually fish Harney. I start trolling jigs a little in Sept. pick up the pace in Nov. and fish hard till February. Do any of you guys troll in the summer? How about Monroe? Never fished there but gonna try it a little this year. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Welcome from Debary. I haven’t trolled in months but I find some crappie here and there in brush and vegetation. Been doing more salt than fresh. I haven’t seen any boats on Monroe in the usual places that can be seen from I4. Hope you find some, good luck when you go.

Welcome from Deltona. I like to fish Monroe starting in Sept. I start by pulling long lines on the north shore and work my way west to the old power plant. Things start to pick up in Nov. Good luck and say hi if you see me out there.

I usually fish out of a white and seafoam Blue Wave bay boat. There ain't too many around here. You can't miss it. Feel free to come on over and say Hi. I don't know anyone on the forum.

Nice looking boat. I'll keep my eye out for it. I fish out of an old bass tracker 175 with my name on the sides, but you may need to get close to read it.

As far as meeting some of the members, come to the Slabfest in Nov at Lake Monroe Park. Info can be found in the first pinned post at the top of this page. Hope to see you there.

I really hope to come to slabfest, we're going to visit our kids in Virginia sometime this fall. Other than that, my schedule is wide open. I used to have a 17ft tracker. I loved that boat. I also have a 16ft tracker grizzly jon boat with a 25 merc. It just depends on where I'm fishing and who's with me. I've owned a lot of boats but I've brought home more groceries in that john boat than any other boat I've owned.

I know what you mean about the boat. I have had the tracker for about 18 yrs now. She does me good. I use it for both fresh and salt and she holds up. I sometimes look at other boats but still come back to my tracker.

I've had my jon boat since 05. I used to run a go devil on it. As my family grew, I wanted a bigger boat. plus I like to fish offshore every now and then. I bit the bullet and bought the blue wave in 2016. I can use it for everything except super shallow water. I don't use it alot but my plan was to buy it and get it paid off before I retire. It is very comfortable and has tons of storage. I'm getting ready to put a pedestal seat up front and I have a double crappie seat thing that I am gonna put in the back. but most of the time, when me and my wife go fishing, we hook up the john boat. LOL

Do you love yours as much as I love mine? We drive up to up that way a lot in the truck. I never have trailered my boat up there but I plan to come up to lake george in a week or so to try to catch some sunshine bass. I only have caught them in the winter down here.
