showing telltale signs of the transition/final curtain of Florida's spawning phase. Yes, sure, you will get an occasional late spawner or two, but yesterday's trip yielded the shakedown. Only had last half of day to fish, but did catch a few specks w/a few different species to add to the photo-shoot. Water temp was 76 degrees, bright sun, no wind, plenty Gators and Manatees exercising/enjoying the warming trend, so I had a feeling that the bite would be more lean than lard. Had around 15 or so crappie encounters(including good-size boatside escapees) along with bass, warmouth, bluegill, catfish(butter belly) and an unknown 9" bream variety(see pic). Stayed on board until the Crimson curtain fell with lots of Sunshine bass liveliners left behind. All fish caught via usual method single-polin'.
