Looks like where you went last week? Good trip.
Or so I thought- With the taste of victory still lingering, the promised stellar weather forecast, the rekindling of yesteryear's Shad memories, all lead to a splendid solo trip to this very fertile fish nirvana. Added to my shad arsenal/fervor was my post Full moon crappie agenda. After 3 "going through the motions" Shad casts with no takers, it was now time to yield to Plan B! I can wrap this up too uncharacteristically fast by saying it was truly a single pole "skinny tackle" fishermen's delight! Approximately 40 caught, including a studly 9 3/4" inch copper-nosed, striped bream w/attitude. Even caught a diminutive gar that wanted a quick snack. 17 nice sized(up to shy 13") specks including the Bull gill were invited for the 2 hr. trip back home. Almost every fish was "choke" hooked with the 1/48 oz. offerings in Bobby Garland blue thunder and Bass Assassin purple irridescent pearl 2" shad w/ no bobber. Tuxedos were the attire of the day for the mostly male "Ball" attendees. Enjoy the pics- Thanks for checkin' on me...

Good job, they are just about ready to do a run. We won't be back on the water til Saturday or Sunday, tomorrow's winds are supposed to be 10 to 20 mph then Friday cold.

That’s a good trip Doug, one I would have been happy with. Great bluegill, probably like hooking a tractor. I long for a copper nose over 10”, can’t quite get it done. Shellcracker yes but not gills. One day soon, you know I’ll still be trying.

Nice report there Mr. Postman, definitely worth the trip form the west side.
