Default Morning on the water with SLAB

Met up with Slab at 7:15 AM and off to Lake Griffin.
Beautiful day to be on the water. sporadic activity, totals for the day boated 24 crappie and one green carp. Put 5 crappie in the live well. Lost several keepers at the side of the boat.
THANKS ED for a wonderful time.
All I need to remember is to: Swing the fish in the boat and not drag them to the side of the boat.

    Good Job, guys !!

I'm wondering, though ... from the pics I see many of the jigs barely hooked in the lips of the fish, could that be from too high of a trolling speed ?? Or could it be from less than aggressive fish ?? I can see where hooking them there would allow some to get off the hook if not quickly netted or yanked into the boat from a distance.
Looks like some are starting to get their tuxedos on and get ready for the "big dance"

Imho it’s just less aggressive fish.

Great time John. Glad we were able to finally get out there together. I still don’t know what you did to scare shu away. He never left the state park.
