Default Choctawhatchee River in the FL Panhandle

Sort of found them yesterday and got a few. Back today to see if we could improve the catch. First attempt this year at a good mess of sacalait! Managed 17 in the box with several 12's & 13's, one 14.25.

I don't see a thing wrong with that catch of fatties. Just enough for a couple good family meals... but not too many that keep you bent over the cleaning table for too long.
Well done. Thanks for sharing your trip and your bounty with the rest of us.

Went back to the same hole yesterday as Sunday, but marked only about 25% of the numbers the fish finder located previously.Snagged 8 but kept only 5....10 to 13 inches. Still plenty of fish for a meal or two.
Had motor trouble so the Minn Kota brought me back to the hill.Thank goodness for the new battery.
