    Thinking about bringing the wife down that way for valentine's weekend. Cant decide on the Harris chain or st John's.

    Harris chain, particularly Lake Griffin which I fish, can be very finicky. Yesterday Billbob and I caught good fish here on Griffin, today we caught squat. Same waters, actually went on search of many areas today, and never found them. Anyway, I think most will agree that St. Johns is a great crappie fishing resource. It can be finicky as well, but the fish there are certainly bigger and fatter than on the Harris Chain. IMHO

    Shu's hand ties are the best.

    Slab, thank you so much for the info. I've been to Harris chain before. Never been to st John's. Would be blind . Might try both couple days at each place. Mostly showing the wife central Florida's fishing places
