Went on a "roadtrip" to seek some bigger fish, although it came a little different than I was expecting. Did manage some decent slab's, just not the numbers I usually see this time of year. Brought home a Baker's dozen & caught a variety of gills, catfish, & o-yeah (3) Florida strain Largemouth w/all around 5#. Was thinking of changing my 4lb. hi-vis line out this yr., as it's about 3 yrs. old now, but after not losing 1 of bass, I think it will be alright another yr...the 1st bass hit like a freight train, bending the rod holder & amazonally only crossed up 1 line, all-in-all a trip worth the gas mileage. The water temp down there was 82F & the weather guesser said, no higher then 5 mph wind (which I base to travel or not), but must have been around 10 mph at daybreak, then settled down every hr, luv that "ripple" that I had for a 2hr window, til' it was glass like by 11:30, then the bite was gone...a few pics...if ya can guess where I was, it's a catch-n-release only Bass factory...lol...& Travis "Bassman 93", although you couldn't make the trip, it's safe to say you were there in spirit...
