PALATKA, Fla., May 22, 2019 ― Updates on land management and recreation activities will be discussed May 23 during the St. Johns River Water Management District’s Northern Recreational Public Meeting.
The northern recreational area includes district properties in Alachua, Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties. The public will have an opportunity at this meeting to provide input on district land management and recreational topics.

Listened in at work, seemed to be more focused on forestry side.
yeah, it wasn't until the end they were discussing water issues. Not sure if you stayed that long, but apparently removal of Rodman (Kirkpatrick Dam) is in the 10 yr plan...
... Over the past few years , and seeing the water quality issues of the St johns River especially of late, I'm a proponent of that removal.. That flood basin / swamp is the lungs of the Ocklawaha river and what it's carrying. There would be tons and tons of nitrogen removed by the trees and plants if the river is allowed to flow through it's natural course before it dumps into the St johns. Definitely not a cure all, but I'm sure it would help
