    Default Gulf's Gourmet event

Headed back to the Gulf yesterday to expand my tablefare availability with the allowed appropriately tagged/floated crab pots(5) baited with trout discards from freezer. Also, had an urge for an oyster platter/stew/fritters/half-shell/Rockefeller, so I hit some of my spots along the way to arch up the ol' light wt. spinning gear. As the Patriots said late Sunday night..."it just doesn't get any better than this!" All went extremely well with the trout take as well as a fat Pompano, rat reds, sea bass etc., but the expanded menu was the "Super BOWL ticket" I was hoping for-

Even saw my 1st tagged Manatee equipped with a radio transmitter antenna attached to a white 8" ball float with ID # annotated with about 15' of paracord attached. Wish I had thought about a camera shot

Wish I could have made a trip up this winter for some oystering. Running the flats on my mud boat is a good time.

That looks like a great meal. My fishing Jones is real close to eating me up, I just gotta go. Speaking of which, I better go get busy.

You really got me cravin come oysters now
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Need some Datil Pepper cocktail sauce for all that. I used to get it at Osteens or Skippers(?) when I shot at St Augustine Gun Club.

My wife likes that datil pepper sauce too. She lived in West Palm when she was younger and found out about it there.

Oh man crabs and oysters no finer meal. I still chance it and eat a dozen raw.
I don't mind sharing where I caught my fish.
Most was caught in their mouth.
