You may want to relook these lakes. Seems like they are near Chipley and were created during the Depression by the WPA. I think I read they dammed the Chipola River. Any way seems I read a few years back that the dam was removed and the river runs through where the lake was. I could be way wrong. Perhaps there's some else here from that area who knows more about than me.
The lakes are gone now. Just look at Google Maps, Satellite View. It is now just the river channel.

They're probably nearly flooded right now. Heard crappie bunch up in the deep holes during the winter and scatter after spawning on the thousands of brush on them. Always wanted to go try them but always seem to find a "better" place to spend my time.
I understand Skiff. There are those lakes in Al like Jordon I'd like to fish it's just a long ways away. I'm planning on spending a few days to make the trip worth it.
DMC - Pm Fish Walton...he surfaces every now & then...just like my reading glasses, dang, can you find me now? Hopefully he should easily respond b4 the year is up!
