Good trip guys. You almost had some company there today but I went to Monroe instead with less than stellar results. Sure was a pretty day for fishing in shorts and a t shirt. Two good folks fishing with one another.
Had the pleasure to fish with Vic aka:Anchorman this morning on Lake Woodruff. The morning started with a meet up at the ramp at 6:30 am & had the lines in the water at daybreak. 1st fish in the boat was a nice 13 inch plus fish, however, no woody monsters was to be today. Instead, it was just a plain-o-steady day that totaled near 40 fish, had a couple over a limit of 11" to better fish that got donated to the "hurricane" fund, but that's not my story to tell. Acid rain reigned as best color, with Tennessee shad & parrot working well too. There was a good showing of boats this morning maybe totaling 40-50, including this mountain man in the boat photo, who we watched fight a Gar for 10-15 minutes that finally made the net, nice team TNT. They had a similar morning as well, which made the trip worth while for all. It was a good time seeing some old faces again. And most importantly I've found Vic's secret weapon, sorry bud, but it's his workouts, I hope to get on some type of program & be as fit as you some day, THANKS for the company today!!

Great day with Speck Detector. Thanks for showing me a good time Jeff, your the man. He did just about everything for me today. He maneuvered the boat around all the floating debris which was a challenge. He untangled my lines all day, he brought me lunch and snacks and drinks and he showed me how he catches so many big slab's. I learned how to put together some interesting bait combos. I really had a fun time Jeff a d I hope to return the favor soon. Thanks again for the great day.

I see woody is giving up a few. The river in my area is dead.

Excellent report, excellent pics. Thanks for sharing. You seen TNT, very cool. Have not seen Tim in a long time. And Vic, with big fish in hand, seen that before for sure. He sure knows how to catch'em. Need to hear more about the workouts!

Too much flow where I am Micah. No Eddy’s behind any of the stuff I usually fish. Have to get out of the main part of the river, and this is if you’re single pole. Trolled up a few in the river Saturday that were pretty nice but the boat traffic took some of the fun out of that. Still beats sitting home.

That makes 2 of us, he's sported quite the facial hair these days, ala the "mountain man" comment. Kinda dropped the ball taking pics, not getting a close up of the 2 T's of TNT, maybe he'll post a few pics when he returns from his trip.We met on the lake, but they launched from a different area.....Vic will fill you in on the details of workouts, just makes sense of why him & the Mrs. are so active in retirement....
