I've been eyeballing Garmin's new Panoptix LiveScope. She's pricey, but good lord it looks amazing and killer to find fish.
I am looking for advice on side view fish finders as far as how well you can actually spot suspended specks in the water. I mostly loneline troll and am looking to upgrade my current electronics. I troll two lines off each of a 12' vee hull if that makes any difference.
I am not looking for which brand is the best, just how well suspended fish will show up as i live in south central florida and these local lakes don't have a whole lot of structure to look at.
Thanks Jim

I have a Simrad NSS evo 2 that on my center console and it marks a sardine pretty clear on side scan. The newer models are cheaper now and they have a specific transducer for side scan which I've found is more clear to see with than the hummingbird units I've had. I'm not sure if it reads different in fresh water tho but if it will pick up a sardine it will see a speck I imagine
