    Default The THUMP

After feeling the 28* air temps yesterday, I delayed the departure time 3 hours to nourish my saltwater appetite. While waiting, I decided to email a now back to work member a little handy work/creation = "looks like a man with time on his hands"! Well I guess, being an expert, he was right! Oh, but little did he know, not too many C.com mind readers on here, about the warm up plan that was slowly manifesting itself. Arriving at the ramp, I found a sun-bather stretched out on the concrete ramp, doing the same thing that I had done earlier, warming up....as my trailer tire approached his risk limit. He then decided to show his climbing skills by slithering up the adjacent vertical concrete wall, untethered !!
Reaching my casting destination, I easily proceeded to many smiley face sessions as these attachments should convey. 15 trout(>19.75", 2 under-sized reds. W/t 59*, minimal tide flow(no grass deterrent, but no top-water bites). Awesome day, and yes...they thump real good too in the brine!! but you never know who's knockin'!
