Default Looking for crappie lakes around Lake land Florida.

My wife and I are going to visit my mother in law last two weeks of Jan and first two weeks of Feb. She lives in Bartow Florida. So I will be pulling my boat from Ky. I’m just looking to catch some Specs and maybe some Bass. I have looked at Crooked lake it’s not too far from Bartow. I don’t mind driving an hour or so if I have too. If you guys can help a fellow out I would appreciate it so much.

Lake Weohyakapka in the town of Lake Wales would be my recommendation.

[QUOTE=C_D;3738874]Kissimmee Chain, Just head east on highway 60.[/ I have fished Toho years ago for bass. I know Kissimmee is a popular lake.
Will these be a time of spawning ? Or will I be a little early?

likely be right in the mix of it. St. Johns river/Lake Monroe is only about an hour and 15 minutes pending traffic. Might be an option for ya.

I have a friend that has been catching quite a few on Teneroc, but like Huntinslabs said, Monroe/St Johns River might be an option for you. Would be worth the drive.
