When I take someone out the first time I don't expect them to share in any of the expenses just contribute a laugh and make the trip enjoyable. After the first trip it all depends how it goes and what they offer the second trip. Don

I am in Leesburg for the Winter. From Michigan. Up here we have a page where people ask/give rides. I am sure there are some one and dones, lol, but some do work out well.
Was fortunate last year and found a partner in my park. Was just "testing the waters" to see what may be out there.

Sharing is real common for offshore fishing. When I used to run 550 to 60 miles offshore $500 was a normal fishing day back when the gas prices was so high. A big boat and you are talking over a $1000. I had to give that up. Used to be sharing expenses was illegal was you had to be a licence captain to take money. Crappie trips are cheap as we don't use minnows anymore and don't run far on the gas motor. Getting there is the only real expense and oh ya the stop at Hardies for breakfast. Some of the fishing boards do have a Share the Ride section down here. Don

Would u mind sharing links to said boards?

Hear you about the license thing. A few guys in Michigan have boats but need 2 to 3 to go out and operate a walleye or salmon rig and can put more lines in the water. Most know and are not out to make a profit just want to go fishing. The same for the rider.

I'm a bit over an hour from ya in Lakeland, but if you feel like making a ride down sometime, I'll take ya. One of my local honey holes should be producing well for spider rigging by now.

Will be doing some visiting in the Zephyerhills area. Thanks for the offer, will see if we can work something out.
