Great job! Glad yaw got to get out and enjoy the day!
Generates great satisfaction when a plan comes together. Like the saying goes "you never really know somebody until you live with them" was easily proven yesterday. Team US (u2s/Sb) took this to a comparable level when a pre-fished salt trip yielded the gilded lily of invites to yet another top-notch, one of a kind member= Skeetbum! I knew that his excitement level was boiling over when I get a surprise phone call that he was 15 minutes from our pre-arranged meetup spot, 1 1/2 hrs. early!! Well, I honestly had to step it up a notch to get there about 30 minutes later because of my tendency to do surprise stuff. The typical handshakes and let's go get ems exchanged, it was now time to "get er done". Didn't really take too long for Tim to connect with a keeper trout even though the right conditions were still 1 - 2 hrs. forthcoming. We started making the "milk run" and started bending the graphite with Tim scorching me with 3 trout - 0. Then the dinner bell rang and favorable conditions began with trout and acrobatic ladyfish/jack crevalle being masterfully handled gunnel side. Blast from the past conversations/exploits/accomplishments were easily exchanged although periods of sometimes reluctantly released microphone!!
Truly a great, resourceful learn was gained by me, and we even learned some knots. Couple pics were snapped and even though the tide flow presented non-stop grass hook foulings, Mr. Skeetbum had some long awaited trout for his cleaning table/grease bath. Notice same fish/different angles = Angler!(groan)

I can’t thank you enough, and I have pondered it some, for the fun we had yesterday. My salty trips are few so they all excel in fun factor for me. I don’t think conditions could have been much better nor the location more perfect for staying out of the breeze. As you said, we were busy. Not knock down, call all your friends to get over here busy, but busier than most of my salt trips when I had my own boat and went east. Came home with a bloody nose a lot so it just made yesterday that much better. You having the home court knowledge of what was where was impressive, you’ve clearly done this before. All the ladyfish had me fooled for something bigger than they were. Some of them really had game. About to go out and put the knife to yesterdays spoils, and probably have some tomorrow. The trip over and back was flawless with the Black Friday traffic finding somewhere else to be. All in all a very good trip in very good company. Enjoyed the conversation and company and look forward to returning the trip when you come this way. I have an ace or two up my sleeve. Thank You Doug, I’ll remember the day for a long time with a big smile on my face. Gee, can’t wait to return to work Monday. NOT. See you soon.....Tim

As we rode around a little after pulling out, I remembered the mystique that i’ve always felt around the coast at dusk, and it was more so in my mind yesterday evening. The sunsets on the west coast have a slightly different feel than those on the east. I took this pic on a little causeway between two islands, the colors absolutely stunning. I had Doug stop in the road so I could take the pic.
Also the pics of the keepers from yesterday. The small was 15 1/2, and the large bumped 18. Haven’t had any in years and I’m inviting family to share. My daughter grew up eating what I brought home, i hope this brings back a memory or two. 2 quart bags 3/4 full went in the frozer, better get thru the leftovers first. Looking forward to it.
