    Default Monroe in the morn?

Anyone up for monroe in the morn, I'll likely have the Indiana guber there to actually fish, and not just installing rod holders.

Here's another reason I showed up late to the event yesterday, I was in SC fishing with Whitey Outlaw at a writers camp. I drove 7 hours home late Friday night and got very little sleep. I also received the Driftmaster rod holders for my Key West from owner David Baynard while in SC, ergo the need to install them Saturday while on the water! doh

Sure was great to see everyone. Wish we were able to spend more time together. I needed some pointers on Monroe. I wasn't even sure where I could motor up! They got weird signage. I seen Flycaster speeding by just about all the way to the bridge, so I guess that area it was OK to get on the power.

I am planning to launch out of Enterprise Monday morning at 7 am. I will be working the north side of the lake between stone island and the old power plant. I fish from an old Bass Tracker and I'm out there by myself. I will be glad to share what I know. Give a wave and shout out if you see me.

Sorry, I won't be able to make it, Monday. I'd love to have a Hoosier Shootout. Turns out that the Guber and I only lived about 25 miles apart. Next time, for sure.

We will be looking for you. Question, where can you run, what are the rules about running fast on Monroe, does anyone know. The signs we seen confused the daylight outa me. Yeah, yeah, I know, don't take much these days! lol

Good luck, wish I could be out there. Should be nice, early.

Not sure this is a good pic, but it looks like the slow zone is all on the north side.

    ED:
Where you saw me on plane, I was in the channel going to the bridges. This is not in a manatee zone.
If you stay in the channel, when leaving the bridges, go east, there will be a marker for the channel going to the OPP. From there going north you want to stay to the east of any manatee markers, until you get close to the north shore. Markers are spaced out quite a distance. You have to keep an eye out for them.
You will see a lot of boats on plane within the manatee zone, but have not seen any enforcement in the area.

When you clear the bridges there is a sign saying something like resume normal operation. Stay in the channel til you come to the three signs on the left before turning north. If you cut inside, making those signs be on your right, you are in a low speed zone. I have been warned by Mr. Green jeans about this. Be careful if you turn north also because you will be approaching thos manatee signs from the side and they can be difficult to see.
