As a native I've had my share of mullet roe, yellow or some call it red. When fried it is dry and takes a lot of ketchup. Always heard white roe didn't get done (fully cooked). Maybe the Phantom can confirm that? Don't know about any other roe, but caviar comes from sturgeon roe I think. Never had that either.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

I cooked some roe this year and fed it to the wife's cousin (she was down from New York) along with the speck fillets, she went on and on about it until she found out what it was.
I ate some and it was OK, but I'm a fat boy and will eat about anything.

Oh man this is the hardest post in a long time to keep family friendly. I think Phantom was trying to set me up. Just would be sooo easy to take this off the deep end. Then Flycaster tells him to be careful what he puts in his mouth nother setup. Its a conspiracy!
