    Default Florida newbie


    Hey fellas! I just moved to Lakeland a couple weeks ago from north central Indiana. So far all I have fished around here is Saddle Creek Park with less than spectacular results. Im boatless so my options are probably pretty limited. Does anyone have any suggestions for a shore-bound angler in this area?

    Land based fishing in freshwater will be challenging. If you have any bass or catfish tackle head over to the coast and you will find a whole pile of fishing areas.

    Welcome to Central Florida!! There are some good spots for shore fishing, but may be an hour drive. If I hit a weekend with an empty back seat I will send you a message.

    Destined2fish, im getting to be snowbird age and also from sw Ohio, my wife and i spent about a month on Florida in January and I can tell you everyone we met were great people and i mean everyone, i plan on coming down every winter to fish now too
