Best place I ever fished for specks was in the St.Johns County golf course. They shut 9 holes down for 5 years and the biggest pond in that section was loaded with 16" 3 lb specks. 2 buddies and I caught and released 103 between us using only silver 3" rattle traps

Best place I fished ever was in Baja Mexico 15 years ago. In a little town called Lopez Mateo's we fished out of a 16' Jon boat and we caught a boatload of grouper, dog snapper, corvina and halibut trolling stretch 25's next to mangroves in the intercoastal. Had several grouper over 10 pounds and an 18 pound dog snapper, few halibut over 30". That area has been over fished with Gill netting since then but I've never experienced that king of easy, awesome fishing anywhere

Featherville Idaho, mountain lake, clear water, lots of shade trees, bank fishing, rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout. The only fishermen on the lake, catching and releasing all day long. As close to heaven I've found.

Day in, day out - best fishing fun i have ever had is in the state of Florida - you can fish year round anything from Salt Water to Fresh. Night time or day.
I personally only fish for Crappie (Spec) - have fished from Indiana to Florida and all states east and west of straight line o
    to Florida.
Crappie range in weight from 6 oz - just a little over 3 lbs. can be caught anywhere in Florida - 3,000 plus lakes & ponds available.
Belong to the Florida Crappie Club - 93 members - we fish 20 tournaments a year from Okeechobee to Crescent - This club is totally open to anyone wanting to fish or learn to fish for Crappie.
