Sometimes they bite early sometimes late just glad they bit for you. Man that water looks slick.
Last year I had a blast fishing the Stick Marsh in early December(2017) & promised myself to return by October(2018) to gauge how early the bite starts down that way. Was kinda slow to start the morning picking 1 up here & there as well as more throw backs then other trips. Was waiting for the wind to kick in a little, but never happened & was mirror/slick, so was about to tuck my tail & call it....but decided to run a zig-zag pattern on 1 last pass & BANG!! No particular speed some hit the fast side & some the slow. The big Gals started feeding hard, excellent bite from 11am to 12:30 pm, went from 10 fish to a limit right quick. Tenn. shad & blue/chart were best colors. Couple of the 14" fish weight 1#14oz. & 1#13oz. real butterballs, had 8 to 10 shad in each's belly. Few pics of the morning...11"-14" & a gill...39 on the clicker

You were threatening heading back down there when we last spoke. Glad it was a good trip. Way too many fish to clean unless I was sitting down. We have to go back down one day.
