    Default Last day at lochloosa

Left for home Saturday. I was debating fishing a while or packing and heading out early. I hit water and sunup and crossed the lake I’m the fog. Before I could get the rods all set up I was getting fish. I started out deep with trolling not motor as there was a few boats on bank already. I never lef the ten foot area. I was getting non stop action for an hour. There was about six boats in the area and another troller that was working different water then me I kept circling one area.

I was in casting distance of another troller. Then all or a sudden a ranger came between us at about 20 mph making a big wave and a lot of noise. He close enough I could have threw my coffee in his boat. He went full speed into the shallows and messed up all that water too. The fish stopped and I got no more bites. I did manage ten keeper size including a 13” and ,any small ones in that hour

Ended trip with 60 keeper size biggest being 15” 3 were 13”. Many 10-11. Most fish were healthy looking like they didn’t spawn yet untilthenladt day the My four biggest did have beat up tales though. I doesn’t about 4 seven hour days on water and two short morning trips so I think my catch rate was decent for a Lakes I had never been too. Every spot I drove big motor to and trolled gave up at least a fish

Trip home started out well then got stuck in Atlanta traffic taking an hour to got a few miles so people could look at an accident in front of me. Then it rained by the time I got to southern Illinois it was below freezing and raining. After a while I almost went into ditch with boat and camper we had to pull off at a walmart mart for a fewer hours to wait for roads to thaw. To get in the driveway I had to clear 20” inches of snow when I got back. At least I caught fish

The way your trip went, you should have stayed in Florida.
