    This picture is of a Lake Woodruff Speck a few weeks ago. i notice it is horizontal and not vertical. Please bear with me. I am challenged.

    My wife and I missed an opportunity to meet and shake hands with you at the first day weigh in at the Crappie Masters Tournament in Deland. The weightmaster and emcee introduced you and spoke of your website. It was good that he did because I came home and found the website and joined. I have been surf fishing mostly but this past year my interest in speck fishing is really growing. I was there to watch and learn so I skulked around some of the boats that were coming in because I wanted to see rigs, equipment, etc. I did speak with Mike Valentine (spelling) from Crappie Masters but he did not look like he does on television. He had a full beard. ha.

    Well i guess that would depend on the location. For me, the St Johns means mile zero at Blue Cypress.
    Or i can travel about an hour north to the actuall river at the Camp Holly on 192 just west of Melbourne.
    I did that yesterday, and It has really changed since the flood.
    You can see the high water marks way up on the trees, and where there was shoreline weeds, and lily pads, most are gone, just willows with no leaves. There are lots of places for me within an hour or so, including Kissimmee and Okeechobee.
    At my age, it's doubtfull ill ever go back there.
