That is why you call it fishing The next time you go they will be wanting to know how you caught so many, be thankful you ant been skunked. thanks for the report.
I got to the ramp around 7AM and I think I got the last parking spot. I headed out to where I saw the fleet and set up behind them, letting the wind push me along their path. I no sooner got the rods set when the first one went off. I'm off to a good start! Then it slowed down. I made the first pass then turned and set for a second pass. Still nothing.
I pull the rods and make a run to my old hot spot. I did a little better ,I picked up 2 more slabs. But I'm still not hitting them. I pull the rods again and head further down the lake. I set for a final pass of the morning ( the winds were starting to pickup and give me a little trouble. I set a path for the ramp and fish my way in. I pick up 3 more keepers and throw back a few small ones. Not bad !! I head in.
At the ramp I talk to a guy and he tells me he got 18. I the parking lot i talk to another person who said he limited out. I must be doing something wrong. I am not catching that many. I think I'll have to go give it another try and see if I can figure it out.

Pull faster. Start at 1.3 and go up to as fast as 1.8. Them fish get to where they want to chase bait and you cant out run them. I have even pulled as fast as 2.5 and caught fish on Monroe.
