What will happen to the old bridge when they are done? Would be some nice structure.
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
State Road (S.R.) 19 over Little Lake Harris Bridge
#110026
Financial Project ID: 238319-2-52-01
Work Description
In September, crews will start pile driving activities on the project. However, driving piles for the new bridge over Little Lake Harris will not begin until October. During these activities, the current bridge will remain open to traffic on S.R. 19. Weather permitting, pile driving is expected to last 14 months.
Purpose
The piles will form the structural support for the new bridge, and each pile must be driven to a depth of up to 140 feet. For this project, most of the pile driving operation will take place on a barge on Little Lake Harris.
What to Expect
Pile driving activities will occur from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Please note that dates and the duration of work could change due to weather and other unforeseen events. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone.
While steps will be taken to minimize the impact of construction to the surrounding community, please be advised that you may hear noise and/or feel minor vibrations in the area.
Accessibility for emergency responders and residents is a priority and will be maintained at all times. No major traffic impacts are planned for the existing bridge while the new bridge is being built; however, material deliveries may briefly delay some motorists.

If anything like the building of bridges on ICW the fish will steer clear during work but late at night they will gather round feasting on all the creepey crawlers the pile driving displaces and disturbs.
