Looks like a few samwich's right there!
Went out for a couple hours early, caught 8 brought home 5. Water temps 88, little to no wind, spider rigging jigs tipped with minnows, 9-12 FOW.
Lots of fish slapping the water, my eyesight is not good enough to tell what they were. Shaped like gills?? Had an ultra light setup on board. Tried several different baits and lures with no luck.
What time is it? IT'S CRAPPIE TIME!

Not sure. Most often Tilapia are in 3' or less. But not sure. Could have been bluegills on some micro hatch of some sort.

More than likey it's the (hassa) "armored catfish" that you're seeing pescadoor they are taking over the smaller lakes around here they come to the top and make a quick flip, wait until some water starts flowing in and you'll see them by the 100s slapping
