Thread: Another Great River Trip.

Met with Andy again today for a river trip in his boat. Haven't been a guest in someones boat for a while and it worked out great for us. We hit several spots, most community holes but we hoped to find some still home. First one had been pounded yesterday and gave up a few but was not it's usual self, so off we went. A stop or two later we found a blowdown and we both had our hopes up on this one cuz it was a little off the beaten path. We weren't disappointed. This one had some home, and we wanted them to come visit so we stayed a while. I was made to feel special as my guide put me in the front seat (Hot Seat?) and refused to trade places with me. I won't get into the fish by fish replay, but we had a very good day. At least 30 fish, both gills and crappie, were caught today. Several cleared the 1lb mark and one pushed 2lb, and all were released for another day. A few pics were taken but I am sworn to secrecy and can't post them without giving up the farm. I also hooked into 2 large cats, we think, as they were never seen or turned. My light line isn't much on changing the mind of a big fish like that. I had a wonderful day, Thanks Andy, and no boat to put up or fish to clean. The little tackle shined once again. They say ya can't beat it with a stick, that may be so, you guys didn't need more than 2 sticks....nice guys!
