Nice write up Skeet! Sounds like you all had a great day!
After many years of talking online, then moving around the corner from him, I finally got Crappieday out for a bit this morning. And did we have a time. A good early start and 63* temps had me excited and ready for the day to start. I won't go into much detail, but I will share some of the high points for me. First thing, the sun is barely giving any light, and I handed the 10' SHSS to him and sent him to the front of the boat while I got ready. Said he had never used one of those before, but you couldn't tell. I had to keep reminding myself that he already knew what to do out here and just let him do his thing. Didn't take very long to see the rod bend and net our first fish, and several more to follow. As the light came on more the bite changed and the long rod was changed for casting gear and we went right back to business. He had a confidence tube on a 1/32 and I used a BGBS on a 1/32, and both caught fish. But they really wanted the tube he was throwing. I gotta get some of those. Several good fish in the box were added to, all falling to these little jigs. I went on to the 1/64 that I like so much and after a color change was back in the game. Love fishing the littles. I had told Andy that we would fish til about 10, but I guess I lied. One by one, and many little moves later, we had the boat on the trailer at 1230. Don't know where the time went but I knew what we were doing and I enjoyed every minute of it. He's good company and we never ran out of things to talk about. Now for the best part. All done I looked at the clicker and it said 55, without Andy's 5lb catfish and my last fish. I went through the 13 in the box and cut it back to 8 good ones that I kept for an upcoming fish fry on fathers day that filled a gallon ziploc just over half way. An excellent day of fishing and friendship that I wont forget anytime soon. Thanks for going with me today Andy, we'll go to the other place we spoke of soon. Thanks for visiting with Andy and I for this little while, and til next time...............Skeet.

Thanks G. Everyone knows what a good time I've been having with these fish and I don't ever want to be accused of blowing my own horn. The friendships I've made here on CDC are great. They're better than any fish I could ever catch. They make me smile at the oddest times when I'm in traffic behind the wheel. Folks watching must think I've gone 'round the bend. Those friendships and the time we spend together are what keeps me going more than anything, other than the Granddaughters. I've been smiled upon, not a doubt in my mind.
