    Default Milton area

Any places around this area for crappie fishing. Never been. Thinking about buying a house there we go to Navarre beach twice a year and rent a condo.

Can't help, I'm new to Florida too. Hopefully someone will chime in. I do know over by Tallahassee, you got some good fishing on Lake Talquin.

Wish I knew somewhere. My ma-inlaw lives in Navarre.

I'm east of Milton about an hour. Your best bet would be jumping across the state line and going to Gantt Lake. They have white and black crappie there. Fine fishing.

Escambia River is not far away. Gantt is good too!

Closest to Navarre is Yellow River where some crappie area caught. Escambia also has crappie, but Gantt Lake near Andalusia, Al is probably the best spot close to Navarre. However, none of these locations are known for consistent and hot crappie fishing. You have to get over to Lake Talquin for better crappie fishing. If you are used to big lake crappie fishing you will find river crappie fishing a lot different.
