Default What a difference a week makes....

The fishing was so/so after last weeks bite, but the company was outstanding. Met up with the "King & Queen" aka Anchorman & wife Eileen for a trip to Harney that we've been talking about for sometime & was finally able to make it happen, their friends joined us as well Mr. Jones & forgive me fishing partner, I'm terrible with names the 1st time. The day started off & finished with the adventure of getting the boats through the entrance to the lake, it's about as shallow as I've ever seen it. The big one's never visited my boat today, thus no fish pic, but that was just fine, I was able to boat around 18 with the majority fryer size & enjoyed that the others did quite well after their travels, Vic & Eileen, caught #ers in the 40's & his friends found a few of the good'uns....I hope they took a few pics & will let them chime in on the details. The weather was beautiful as seen in the couple pics I took & Dare may I say this weekend fisher even hinted for a little wind ...we did get a little bit of a breeze around 11...anyways it's always a good day when you get to fish with fellow CDC members, tight lines til' next time guys

The pictures say it all... The reflection of Vic's boat in the water is awesome... Thanks for the post

Great post Jeff, we had lots for fun catching and it does not matter that the big fish were hard to find. We did catch a few right near 14" and our friends had some nice 14's. I have to apologize, we never took a single picture and that is not like Eileen, she always takes some pics even when I'm not looking. So glad we were finally able to get together and thanks for the guided tour, and the great jig bodies, they worked well. That was my first time getting stuck on a flat like that, I hope I didn't damage my motor. We may see you next Saturday at Griffin. Thanks again for everything.

Glad to hear you had a good trip without incident in the shallow water. Always good to spend a great day with good people. I was driving today and noticed Monroe was absolutely flat and several boats just east of the bridges. You guys had more fun. Hoping to see everyone next weekend.

Man wished I'd known ya'll were there. I put in at Lemon Bluff mudhole & went to Harney. The water is low but I've seen it worse, had to trim up to get in the lake & still hit bottom. We fished the river & deep creek until about 10 then went out to the lake, trolled from one end back to the other & caught about 10. Caught 23 total for the day, held a few hostage then threw em back at the ramp.

Tried to post pics but it's not working for me right now???
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
