All you have to do is go back the last 3 winters on here and look at the Crescent posts. And that is just a very small sampling of the pressure that lake took.

Earl, they are still there BUT it has been beat to death. We had good luck the last two years but we don't fish like most of the boats as they are too scattered. Think old school and you can catch a limit.

Hey Earl...I was down there New Years weekend for 3 days and had a great trip. Caught around 100 each day but also caught a lot of 10-11 inch fish. We only kept fish over 12 inches. We managed to keep our limit of good eaters and released a few 2 lber's. Lots of good solid 1.25-1.75 fish. Crescent has had a lot of pressure on it the past few years and that has probably helped to slow it down some. But every lake will go thru a 1-2 year cycle where the bite is just not there. I have seen that On Talquin, Eufaula and Blackshear over the years. I think that is what Crescent has been going thru the past couple of years and this year it is making a comeback. The next 3-4 years ought to be really good down there. Not sure what this cold front will do to them this weekend but it's definitely worth a try....Good Luck!!
