North end of the lake is where they have been killing them lately don't have any info good or bad for Clewiston side of the lake
Coming down for a week to clewiston. I have only caught on crappie on the lake. I usually bass fish. Is there crappie in the clewiston area? I usually fish the east wall for bass but want to try crappie. Any tips such as jigtypeand color. Don't want to drive 1300 miles on way to fish the wrong way I usually do ok for bass might fish a few days down by the alligator alley too.
I'll bring boat. Ill be camping at Roland Martin. Any other good campgrounds that you think are better. Years back before camper I stayed at pier ii in Okeechobee. Because they let me bring my dog. Most videos I see look like crappie fishing up north.

I fished near my place out of Okeechobee. If you don't find them south, venture to Indian Prarie Canal area, not too far. They aren't far from the canal, whichever way you turn. I use tied jigs. I've had good luck with yellow, gold wrap. Also, white with a silver wrap. They were biting so good, I don't think color mattered much.
Good luck
And with that, I'll see you on the water...

Remember to take your kids fishn'
Ian that on the lake or in actual canal. Looking on map there is a narrow canal separate from the lake.
